2020 Grand Prix of Gulfport
A World Class Event
Grand Prix of Gulfport, LLC is producing the fourth annual Grand Prix of Gulfport featuring F150, SST45, Jersey Speed Skiffs and a Boat Show. In cooperation with the City of Gulfport, the downtown area is transformed into mecca of activity along Shore Boulevard between 58th Street South and 54th Street South. The Race Boats, with their pit area open to the public makes the Gulfport Recreation Center home for the weekend, along with the Pleasure Boat Display and Vendor Booths lining Shore Blvd.. Beach Blvd., South will serve as the main entrance and a parking shuttle drop off area for the free to the public event.
Sanctioned by the A.P.B.A. (American Power Boat Association), the heated up close and personal racing action will commence on the Boca Ciega Bay area of the intercostal just off the beach. Viewing areas will be located in the center of the entire event. We will be kicking off the weekend’s events starting early Friday morning on March 27th by setting up all the displays, vendors and pit areas. The event will conclude on Sunday evening after two full days of racing action and the conclusion of the racing award presentations. Proceeds to benefit the Michael J. Yakes Foundation (www.mygulfportfoundation.org) a local non-profit organization whose mission is to help underprivileged children and seniors in the Gulfport, Florida area.

Downtown Gulfport is open for business as the city welcomes two days of fast boats, world-class drivers and family fun on the waterfront during the 2020 Grand Prix of Gulfport Boat Race, Friday through Sunday, March 29. As the event kicks off, downtown Gulfport offers spectacular trackside waterfront views for fans of all ages.
Everyone is welcome to visit Gulfport’s dining and retail district before, during, and after the race for special discounts and race-themed festivities at participating businesses.

Disabled Parking/Amenities
The Grand Prix of Gulfport is designed to provide equal opportunity enjoyment for all whom attend this family friendly free and open to the public event. Free disabled on-street parking is available on a first-come, first-served basis. Temporary disabled parking is available on Shore Boulevard South between the Beach parking lots east entrance and Clinton Street South for those holding valid Disabled Person Parking Permit placards. Accessible Free of Charge Handicap Seating is available on first-come, first-served bases on the south west side of the Gulfport Casino’s cement pad area at 5500 Shore Boulevard South. Accessible Handicap Restrooms are located throughout the event in both permanent and portable restroom facilities.
Downtown Parking
City of Gulfport downtown parking is always free and open to the Public. Motorists are encouraged to observe all posted parking regulations to avoid parking citations or vehicle relocation.
Free Ride Service
Event Connections, a free shuttle service, will be operating between the offsite parking locations for the duration of the Grand Prix event.
Use Pedal Power
In addition, bicycle racks are located throughout the downtown waterfront area.
Bicycle Lock-up area will be at Beach Blvd entrance at The Bike Room's big red truck as well as bicycle racks throughout the downtown waterfront area.
Safety
The City of Gulfport and the Grand Prix organizers work hard to keep everyone safe at events like this. Race fans are encouraged to report suspicious activity to the nearest law enforcement agency as part of the "See Something, Say Something" campaign.

The Gulfport Casino will be closed during Grand Prix weekend.
